Tips to get the very best vacation property experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To find the best rental within your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Morehead City attractions and restaurants.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Morehead City area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby tours and attractions.

Filter your search:

  • Begin by selecting trip dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. 2nd Floor in Resort w\/Direct Beach Access + Free WiFi, Balcony, Shared Pool has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible online. If not, reach out to the property owner before reserving your rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Does your group require specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Tips for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
  • Upon arrival, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a excellent stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
